Fire Marshal / Fire Warden / Fire Safety Awareness Training Course

The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) serves as an introductory qualification for individuals aiming to enhance their understanding of fire safety in the workplace.

Participants will delve into fundamental fire safety principles, covering topics such as the causes of workplace fires, basic fire safety duties and responsibilities, principles of fire risk control, safe usage of portable fire-fighting equipment, and more.

Upon successfully completing the course, participants will be awarded an Ofqual-regulated and nationally recognized QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness certificate.

This course is conducted through online learning and assessed via a supervised e-Assessment, providing you with the flexibility to complete the course at your convenience. Following your training, we will coordinate a time that suits you for the invigilated e-Assessment via Teams.

Fire Safety Awareness Course

The Fire Marshal /  Fire Safety Awareness course allows learners to understand basic fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency, the principles of fire risk control and understand the basics of practical fire safety.

You will learn the following:

Understand basic fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency


Causes of fire


Responsibilities of a fire warden 


Appropriate actions to be taken on discovering a fire or on hearing the alarm


Fire safety inspections


Fire drills/evacuation

Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.

There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or equivalent.
