This qualification enables Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations.
Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider. This include dynamics and realistic casualty simulations.
On succesful completion of the course you will receive a QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).

WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
The Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course is suitable for people who wish to receive emergency first aid training to enable them to assist with adult illness, injuries, accidents or casualties in low risk physical environments with smaller groups of staff or colleagues. This makes the course ideal for working environments such as small business and offices in both public and private sectors. This course is designed for adults only. This course is a fun and informative mix of practical and theory based basic life skills along with an underpinning knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
You will learn the following:
Adult resuscitation CPR and safe use of AED
Burns and scalds
Choking adult
Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)
Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)
Minor and severe bleeding
Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
Seizures
Shock
Unresponsive adult

A basic command of English language. You must be at least 14 years old.

This course is held at our Medical Education Centres in Ellesmere Port and Blackburn. We cater for all local areas including Wirral, Birkenhead, Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, North Wales and Blackburn. The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 states that employers should provide adequate and appropriate quipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. The HSE Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.
